The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association (MHBA) is the voice of the residential construction industry in Manitoba; providing a forum for the ongoing education of the membership with respect to technology and business practices; achieving an environment in which the membership can operate successfully; and to promoting affordability and choice in housing for all Manitobans.

Requirement for all applicants, you must be in business for two or more years.

When listing references, please remember it is business to business. Please do not list personal references.

Membership Fees will be due after your application is approved by the Board of Directors.

Builder (MHBA: $850.00; CHBA: $357.00 plus GST)

Those who, for a minimum of two (2) years from registration with a recognized new home warranty provider, must be COR/SECOR certified and have actively and primarily engaged in new home construction under fixed price contracts for the construction of a residential property where they are responsible for all financial and accounting matters relating thereto (a “Builder Member”)

Renovator (MHBA: $525.00; Renomark: $50.00; CHBA: $357.00 plus GST)

Those who are actively and primarily engaged in the renovation of existing buildings under a written contract for the construction of a property where they are responsible for all financial and accounting matters relating thereto.All Renovators must subscribe to the RenoMark program.

Developer (MHBA: $850.00; CHBA: $357.00 plus GST)

Those actively and primarily engaged in the acquisition, planning and development or re-development of land for new housing in the Province of Manitoba and have a proven track record of residential development projects.

Associate (MHBA: $575.00; CHBA: $357.00 plus GST)

Those who provide products and services to the housing industry.

Ready to Move (MHBA: $650.00; CHBA: $357.00 plus GST)

Those who, for a minimum of two (2) years from registration with a recognized new home warranty provider, have actively and primarily engaged in constructing new homes offsite and placing the home on a permanent foundation under fixed price contracts where they are responsible for all financial and accounting matters relating thereto (a “RTM Member”). RTM Members are required to ensure new home warranty coverage for all of the components of the home they have constructed (which may or may not include the permanent foundation) and must be COR/SECOR certified. *RTM member offsite homes are not eligible for entry into the MHBA’s Parade of Homes. *Builders of “Mobile Homes” as defined by The Buildings and Mobile Homes Act are not eligible for membership.
