New Home Sales Agent Course August 2024

Exam: To successfully pass the course, you will need to take the 1-hour open book exam. The exam will be held in person at the MHBA office (1420 Clarence Avenue). You will be contacted to book a time slot.

The Manitoba Home Builders' Association (MHBA) New Home Sales Agent Course is a sales training course and a mandatory requirement for prospective New Home Sales Agents.

The course covers the following topics:

• Advantages of a New Home/New Home Construction
• Financing of a New Home Purchase
• New Home Warranty
• Legal Aspects of a New Home Purchase
• Attributes of Successful New Home Sales Staff

As per an exemption order by the Manitoba Securities Commission, new home sales agents do not need to be licensed and registered with a broker. To qualify as a New Home Sales Agents, applicants must first complete the MHBA's New Home Sales Agents Course and exam. Applicants must find employment with an MHBA member builder within six months of successful completion of the New Home Sales Agent Course and then be register for a New Home Sales Agent license with the MHBA for a fee of $185 (+GST). License must be renewed annually.
